About the author

Rasa Ostrauskaite assumed the post of EU Permanent Representative to the OSCE in September 2020. Prior to this appointment, she served for one year as Head of Mission for the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) in Iraq. Ms Ostrauskaite has held a range of senior positions within the OSCE, including Director of the Transnational Threats Department and Deputy Director of the Conflict Prevention Centre’s Policy Support Service. She has also worked extensively within the European Union, serving in the EU Council’s Policy Planning and Early Warning Unit, as Political Adviser to the EU Special Representative (EUSR) in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Southern Caucasus, and as Senior Political Adviser to the EUSR for the Crisis in Georgia.
